HISTORY
Established in 1997 under the name Pertubuhan Guru-Guru Agama Hindu Malaysia, the organization was founded by Siva Sri Sivamani Gurukal, Siva Sri Rutracha Gurukal, and Siva Sri Ganesan Gurukal. The association quickly became involved in organizing various events for the Hindu community in Malaysia.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the association was unable to officially register with the Registry of Societies Malaysia in 2001. It wasn’t until 2004 that the association successfully registered under the name Pertubuhan Kebajikan Nandeswara Malaysia Hindu Gurukkal Sangam.
In 2017, with over 1,500 members, the association underwent a name change to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Gurukal Sangam Malaysia. Since then, the organization has taken great pride in organizing numerous religious, spiritual, and cultural events, often featuring notable personalities from both the political and administrative spheres. Its mission remains focused on promoting and preserving the rich Hindu culture and language in Malaysia.
